Steel Wire and Welded Mesh

ROMNEF supplies welded mesh panels in accordance with SR 438-3, manufactured from cold-drawn smooth round wire (STNB) as per STAS 438-2:91, deformed wire (SPPB) in compliance with SR 438-4 or DIN 488, and embossed wire in line with ASTM A29/29M.

The available wire diameter range is between 4 mm and 10 mm. Mesh aperture dimensions include 100 x 50 mm, 100 x 100 mm, 150 x 150 mm, and 200 x 200 mm. The standard panel dimensions are 5000 x 2000 mm, 6000 x 2000 mm, 5000 x 2150 mm, 6000 x 2150 mm, and 6100 x 2450 mm.

Welded mesh is produced in accordance with SR 438-3/3A. The steel material used complies with SR 438-4 or DIN 488 for deformed wire and ASTM A29/A29M for embossed wire. Each batch is delivered with an inspection certificate 3.1. ROMNEF permanently stocks welded mesh made from both deformed and embossed steel wire, with diameters of 4, 5, 6, 7.1, and 8 mm.

Welded mesh applications include concrete reinforcement, screed reinforcement, frame and panel fabrication, basic fencing solutions, and metal constructions such as cages and enclosures.

ROMNEF also distributes a wide range of steel wire rod and steel wire products. The black wire rod (hot-rolled) is supplied in accordance with ASTM A29 / A29M / A510M, in steel grades SAE 1006 and SAE 1008. Standard diameters range from 5.5 mm to 12 mm. Dimensional tolerances comply with EN 10218-2. Delivery is made in coils secured at four points and labeled with two tags. Coil inner diameter is approximately 850 mm, coil height is up to 2000 mm, and coil weight ranges between 700 and 900 kg.

Bright hard drawn wire (cold-drawn or cold-rolled), available in grades OL37 (S235) and OL44 (S275), is supplied in diameters of 0.5, 1.0, 1.8, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 mm. Tolerances are in accordance with EN 10218-2. The coils are secured at four points, tagged with two labels, with an inner diameter between 220 and 350 mm and a maximum height of 500 mm.

ROMNEF also offers soft annealed black wire, in grades OL37 (S235) and OL44 (S275), commonly available in 1.2 mm, 3 mm, and 4 mm diameters. Coil dimensions are compliant with EN 10218-2, with inner diameters between 350 and 450 mm and a height ranging from 380 to 450 mm.

Typical applications for wire rod and drawn wire include construction, agriculture, welded mesh manufacturing, household uses, filter production, automotive industry, and barbed wire fabrication.
